The benefits of goat milk skin care have been known for centuries. It is said that Cleopatra bathed in milk and of course it is also said that she was quite beautiful. It must have been the milk!
We have used our goat milk skin care since 2000, when I started making it. At first I never really thought about why it was so wonderful on my skin, or why I had no dry irritated spots, I just knew that I liked it and my skin is soft and clean.
Over the years, people have asked many questions about the soaps so I have learned a lot by researching for the answer if I did not know. One question I get a lot is “what are the benefits goat milk soap?”
The difference is of course, the goat milk! Well, that’s the short answer. Here are more reasons it is great, and different:
- Rich in Nutrients: Goat milk contains essential vitamins and minerals like vitamin A, vitamin D, vitamin B6, calcium, and potassium. These nutrients can nourish and support skin health.
- Moisturizing: Goat milk is rich in fatty acids and triglycerides, which help to hydrate and lock in moisture. This can be especially beneficial for dry or sensitive skin.
- Gentle Exfoliation: It contains lactic acid, an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that gently exfoliates the skin, removing dead skin cells and promoting a smoother, brighter complexion.

Changing my review because of the amazing customer service. I got a refund and they sent me fresh new one from a new batch. Thank you. I ordered this for my boyfriend for his eczema. He put it on and he said it smells like gorgonzola. I had him wipe it off and wash his hands. I inspected the bottle and it was growing mold around the lid. He said it didn't have a seal of any kind like the other bottles we got had. Not sure what happened with this bottle but I have to throw it away and it has never been used. Not sure if it was because it didn't have a seal, I shipped it during the end of August when it was hot, and/or it sat too long in storage? The other lotions didn't have a problem though, they are still fresh and clean.

I found this lotion because I was specifically searching for the particular scent combination (lemon, grapefruit, and orange). It’s one of my favorites and for some reason very hard to find. However, this lotion was so disappointing in that it smelled like lemon astringent to me. It didn’t really matter though because once applied, any scent disappeared within minutes. I gave it 2 stars for being a good lightweight lotion for the summer. Very sorry it didn’t work out.

Patchouli, a Heavenly Scent The patchouli hand & body lotion goes on smoothly, absorbs quickly, and smells wonderfully fresh. The 8-oz pump bottle is easy to use, of course. The price is right. I bought two.
My new favorite! I bought this today along with a couple of the bar soaps at the Yankee Peddler festival. After getting home I used this lotion and not only does it smell amazing, my skin immediately feels softer and so smooth. It is not greasy at all but feels so lush and again it smells so good. I absolutely love this lotion and I will only buy from here from now on!

Definitely helps for dry skin I have dry skin that especially gets bad near/into summer and winter. I tried using lotion from the pharmacy nearby but it didn't work. I decided in my last order that I'd try out this lotion and got the 4oz tube and holy moly it works. I used it on my hands and they're not dry and feel soft, not to mention it smells great. My friend even said it smells great and now he uses it when we hang out.
