Body wash vs Bar Soap

     There are some companies that make fancy body washes that are very appealing and let’s face it, body washes have become quite popular over the years.  Lots of lather and scent.  But… It might be worth closer look if you are interested in what goes on your skin. Here is what I know about each. Body Washes Look appealing. Color, packaging, etc. Usually in a handy pump container. Lathers well. Contains a lathering agent. Smell is noticeable and sometimes lingers for a while. Fragrance oils are used, which are man-made. Ingredients – Long list that you can look at yourself. They vary. Our Packaging and the Environment - How we are doing our part

Ok, so there is a lot of talk about taking care of the environment.  I guess I will jump in with what our company does.  Of course, the soaps have very little packaging which is healthy for the soap (it can “breathe”) and the environment. While at first glance, glass seems to be reasonable choice for our other products, it is very impractical for what we do.  Heavy to ship, easily broken, etc.  Then there is tin.  Lighter, doesn’t break, but not easy to use for lotions or creams. This leads me to the packaging that I have chosen.  The Hand and Body Lotion as well as the Facial Creams are packaged in PET containers.  These are safe for you...

 Recently I purchased a bag of dog food and in the title, they used the word holistic.  Holistic is used a lot so I wondered if I knew what it really meant.  I basically knew, but I wanted to know if the term would be suitable with my products.  Here is what I learned.

Shampoo vs Goat Milk Soap

     A dry itchy scalp led me on a journey of investigation to learn about shampoos.  Some “experts” say you should never use a bar soap on your hair.  In the case of a commercial soap I would agree!  I don’t think that a commercial soap is good for anyone ever, but that is my opinion.  There may be scientfic studies to back that up, but I do not know of them.  I haven’t looked either!  Anyway, here are some things that I knew to begin with: My scalp was dry and itchy Switching products helped for a little while, but then back to the itchy scalp.
