About Us
Our Mission

Our business is about people. How can we make a difference in someone’s life? Sometimes it’s the littlest things that stay with us and make the biggest difference in our lives. We may not even notice and that’s ok.
How can skin care make a difference in someone’s life? Maybe it will, maybe it won’t—but when we feel good about ourselves, we’re more likely to be our true selves. It is our goal to produce products that will help your skin to become glowing and healthy, naturally!
Healthy and Eco-friendly Skincare for Everyday Use
Our products are designed for those who want healthy skincare products that are gentle on the skin and safe for the environment. We avoid harsh chemicals and unnecessary additives, focusing instead on natural, eco-friendly skincare products that bring out your skin’s natural balance.
A Positive Environment
Providing a positive, uplifting environment to work in is very important! We want people to enjoy working for us whether on the farm or the skin care business!
Of course, we have a dairy goat farm! Animals are very therapeutic and our goats love to interact with people. We like to work with young people and private visits are offered by appointment.
Overall, our goal is to offer you products that are:
- Good for your skin, which will make a difference for you.
- Produced in an encouraging, uplifting environment.
- Made with milk from our goats that love people and will give hugs (or at least nibbles) to anyone who wants them!
In addition to these important things, we are also concerned about the environment so our ingredients are sourced locally whenever possible and they are from sustainable sources. Plus, the packaging we use is recyclable. Here's more about that!
Shop With Confidence
All that being said, you can shop with confidence! We make our products with care and integrity, so you can feel good about every purchase. Our Goat Milk Skincare products will make you a believer!

Why buy from us

Organic Soaps Handcrafted for Pure Skin Care
At Harvest Hill Skin Care, we believe skincare should be pure, honest, and crafted with intention. That’s why we specialize in organic soaps made with goat milk and handcrafted body care products that nourish your skin naturally. Our difference lies in the way we create the ingredients we choose, and the care we put into every single bar.

A Commitment to Natural Ingredients
Unlike mass-produced soaps filled with harsh chemicals, our products are made with simple, wholesome ingredients you can trust. Each recipe begins with fresh goat’s milk from happy, healthy goats raised with care. Combined with organic oils, herbs, and botanicals, our process results in natural soaps made with goat milk that are gentle, moisturizing, and safe for the whole family.
Handmade with Care
We don’t believe skincare should come off an assembly line. Every bar is handmade in small batches to ensure quality and consistency. This slow, thoughtful method allows us to preserve the natural benefits of goat’s milk, creating a bar that’s rich in vitamins, minerals, and fatty acids essential for healthy skin.
Why Goat’s Milk?
Goat’s milk is more than just a unique ingredient—it’s the heart of our products. Naturally high in lactic acid, goat’s milk gently exfoliates while deeply moisturizing. It’s also packed with vitamin A, selenium, and antioxidants that support skin renewal. Whether you’re looking for daily cleansing, care for aging skin, or relief from dryness, our skincare made from goat’s milk is designed to restore balance and promote a healthy glow.

Transparency You Can Trust
We know how important it is to feel good about what goes on your skin. That’s why you’ll never find synthetic fragrances, parabens, or sulfates in our products. We use only natural essential oils and plant-based colorants, keeping every formula as clean and gentle as possible.
Supporting a Small, Sustainable Business
When you choose Harvest Hill, you’re supporting more than just quality soap—you’re supporting a family business dedicated to sustainability. From the way we care for our goats to the eco-friendly packaging we use; every step reflects our values of responsibility and respect for the earth.
Experience the Harvest Hill Difference
We invite you to see and feel the difference of true craftsmanship. Our organic soaps made with goat milk are more than just a cleanser—they’re an everyday ritual of care, comfort, and connection to nature.

Our Packaging and the Environment
Our Packaging and the Environment - How we are doing our part

Ok, so there is a lot of talk about taking care of the environment. I guess I will jump in with what our company does.Â
Our soaps come in a box type wrap. This covers more of the soap for your safety. They all have as little packaging as possible which is healthy for the soap (it can “breathe”) and the environment. No plastic!
While at first glance, glass seems to be reasonable choice for our other products, it is very impractical for what we do. Heavy to ship, easily broken, etc. Then there is tin. Lighter, doesn’t break, but not easy to use for lotions or creams.
This leads me to the packaging that I have chosen. The Hand and Body Lotion as well as the Facial Creams are packaged in PET containers. These are safe for you and can be recycled. They do not hold up under heat so they are generally not handy to reuse for products. The facial cream containers may be nice to hand wash and use for storing small items or carrying in a purse with something small you need. Maybe aspirin or jewelry?
The white packaging that I use for my other products is polypropylene. The name sounds scary, but it’s not. It is safe for food and cosmetics and it can be recycled as well as reused. They are light weight and affordable, which keeps the cost down for you. I do not refill these containers, but you can! Be creative. They are durable and can tolerate heat so see what you can come up with!
All that said, the rest is up to you! Any packaging that I would choose would ultimately be in your hands for disposal. Be creative or recycle! It is easy to just drop it in the trash can, but with a few more steps these items can go to the proper place where they can be recycled and not end up in a place they shouldn’t.Â
There are many things in our world today that can destroy our world. Together we can make a difference! Â
Here is more about who we are and what we do, and here is more about the ingredients we use.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Welcome! We get a lot of great questions about our handmade goat milk skin care. Here are the ones we hear most often. If you’re curious about specific ingredients, please see our Ingredients page.
General Questions
Q: Are your products cruelty‑free?
A: Yes. We do not test on animals. We love our critters!! Â
Q: Are any products vegan?
A: Many are vegetarian; items containing milk are not vegan. Beeswax may be present in some balms/deodorants—check the product page.
Q: Do you use fragrance oils or essential oils?
A: We never use fragrance oils, only essential oils. However, we offer unscented products that contain no essential oils. Here is an article with more information if you are interested.
Q: I have nut allergies. Which products are nut‑oil‑free?
A: Our Hand & Body Lotion has sweet almond. Some other products have shea butter, but please check each product’s ingredient list.
Q: What’s the shelf life? How should I store products?
A: For best freshness, use within 12–18 months. Store in a cool, dry place. Keep bars on a draining dish between uses to extend life.
Q: How long does a bar last?
A: Typically 3–4 weeks with daily use, longer if allowed to dry between uses and not left in standing water.
Q: Can I use the bar on my face?
A: Yes—I do and many customers do. Choose a bar suited to your skin type and patch test if sensitive. Here are some recommended face products including soaps.
Q: Is your deodorant aluminum‑free? What if I’m sensitive to baking soda?
A: Our deodorant is aluminum‑free and no baking soda! We use bentonite clay.
Q: Will natural shampoo work in hard water?
A: It can, though rinsing thoroughly helps. You may use a diluted apple cider vinegar rinse (1–2 tsp in a cup of water) may improve feel and shine. Personally, I do not care for using this rinse, but it may be my water, so experiment.
Q: Do your products help with eczema, psoriasis, or acne?
A: Many customers with sensitive or troubled skin enjoy our gentle formulas, but we can’t diagnose or treat conditions. Patch test and consult your healthcare provider for medical advice. Here are products we recommend for eczema, psoriasis or acne.
Q: What is Optiphen? Why use a preservative?
A: It’s a paraben‑ and formaldehyde‑free preservative we use at a low level (~0.9%) in lotions and moisturizers made with fresh goat milk to keep them safe and stable.
About our soap and ingredients
Q: Is your soap gluten‑free?
A: Yes. Our soaps do not contain gluten. Our Honey and Oats has organic oats, so if you consider oats as having gluten, avoid that soap.
Q: What makes goat milk skin care different?
A: Goat milk is naturally rich in vitamins, minerals, and fats that help cleanse gently and leave skin feeling soft and moisturized. Here is more information.
Q: What’s the cleaning agent in your soap?
A: Soap—just real soap. We make true, traditionally saponified soap, not synthetic detergent bars, so cleaning agent is needed.
Q: Does your soap have lye in it?
A: Finished soap does not contain lye, but it’s made with lye. Lye is essential for saponification—the reaction that turns oils and milk into soap. When the reaction is complete, no lye remains.
Q: Is your soap harsh? My grandma’s was.
A: Ours isn’t. Goat milk soap is especially gentle and soothing, even for sensitive skin and when made properly, soap should never be harsh.
Q: Does your soap lather?
A: Yes! You’ll get a creamy, silky lather without artificial lathering agents, just natural oils.
Q: Do you use palm oil?
A: If you do: We use responsibly sourced palm oil certified by RSPO. If not: Our recipes are palm‑free.
Skin types and use
Q: Can I use this on oily skin?
A: Absolutely. We offer several formulas that work well for oily or combination skin. Pairing a gentle soap with a light moisturizer helps balance oil. Products for oily skin.
Q: Are your products safe for babies?
A: Yes. Our gentle formulas are suitable for delicate skin. We offer a line of gentle, unscented products just for babies. Baby products.
Q: Will these products get rid of wrinkles?
A: We don’t make medical claims. Consistent use of a gentle cleanser and a good moisturizer supports healthy, hydrated skin that looks smoother and more radiant. Check out our Facial products.
Q: Will your products help my dry skin?
A: Yes. Goat milk is very nourishing, hydrating and gentle making it great for dry skin.
Making and materials
Q: What base do you use?
A: None—we make everything from scratch in small batches, starting with oils and fresh goat milk.
Q: Do you really make all this?
A: Yes! Every batch is handmade. We’ve grown over time so now I have in house help, but each product is made with care, just like I have always done.
Q: I’m sensitive to beeswax. Which products are beeswax‑free?
A: Our bar soaps, liquid soaps, and Hand & Body Lotion do not contain beeswax. (Some balms and deodorants do—check each product label.)
Product‑specific
Q: Do you make a shampoo?
A: Yes—our goat milk shampoo is available. If you’re new to natural shampoo, give your hair a little time to adjust. About our Shampoo
Q: About your deodorant: will the clay color stain clothes?
A: On white shirts, some people notice temporary discoloration that washes out easily; it hasn’t been an issue on darker fabrics. Results can vary by person and laundry routine.
Natural soap quirks
Q: Why does my soap feel moist when I haven’t used it?
A: That’s “glycerin dew.” Natural glycerin attracts moisture from the air, so tiny water droplets can form on the surface. It will dry once it is out of the humidity. It’s normal and harmless. Just slightly annoying in my opinion
Shipping
Q: Which shipping method should I choose?
A: Ground Advantage is the most popular and budget‑friendly. Priority Mail typically arrives faster (2–3 business days on average, not guaranteed). You’ll see estimated delivery at checkout.

- Add a quick “How to Store & Make Your Bar Last Longer” mini‑section.
- Include a brief “About Our Process” blurb with a photo of your workspace to reinforce handmade quality.

If you want, I can tailor the added questions to your exact product lineup (e.g., list which SKUs are beeswax‑free, nut‑free, palm‑free) and match your brand voice even more closely.
